reflecting on a three-month hiatus and return back home.
hello peeps!
It feels like a lifetime since I last connected with you all. After a three-month hiatus, I’m back and ready to share my journey of moving back to my home country. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions, adjustments, and reflections, and I’m excited to catch you up on what I’ve been up to!
the decision to move back home
When I left my home country, I was filled with excitement and anticipation for new adventures. However, over the past few months, I felt a growing pull to return to my roots. It wasn’t an easy decision; I weighed my options, considering both the comforts of familiarity and the lure of the unknown. Ultimately, I realized that home held a special place in my heart that I couldn’t ignore. Mainly the pull factor is the family.
While career progression play an important roles, I’ll share in my next blog post about the deciding factors of leaving the roles. But let us focus on the journey return back to home country.
packing up and saying goodbye.
The packing process was bittersweet. I found myself reminiscing about the memories I created while living abroad. Each item I packed felt like a chapter of my life, and as I sorted through my belongings, I felt a mix of nostalgia and anticipation. Saying goodbye to friends and places I had grown to love was emotional, but I was also excited to embark on a new chapter.
settling back in.
Arriving back in Malaysia was surreal. The familiar sights, sounds, and scents enveloped me, triggering a rush of memories. I was greeted by the warmth of family and friends, which made the transition feel smoother. Yet, I quickly realized that returning home wasn’t without its challenges. Adjusting back to the pace of life took some time. I am too familiar with 8-5 routine. Now, its time for me to decides my own routine
rediscovering my roots.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my return has been rediscovering the beauty of my home country. I’ve explored hidden gems, indulged in local cuisine, and reconnected with friends I hadn’t seen in ages. Each experience reminded me of why I fell in love with this place in the first place. I’ve found joy in the simple things—cooking at my own kitchen, family gatherings, and long chats over coffee. One of many things that I’ve managed to do is to go for a camp at the outskirt of KL. I’ve always love to go camping.
reflecting on my journey.
Taking this hiatus has given me the chance to reflect on my journey. Living abroad taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of perspective. I now carry those lessons with me as I navigate life back home. The experiences I gained while living away have enriched my understanding of my own culture and have made me more appreciative of the things I once took for granted.
what’s next?
As I settle into my new routine, I’m eager to share more of my experiences with you all. Expect a mix of reflections, travel stories, and insights as I embrace this new chapter. I’ve learned so much over the past few months, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into topics that resonate with us all.
Thank you for your patience during my hiatus! Your support means the world to me, and I’m excited to reconnect with you. Life is a journey filled with twists and turns, and I’m grateful to have you along for the ride. Here’s to new beginnings, cherished memories, and the adventures that lie ahead!
Stay tuned for more updates, and let’s embark on this journey together!

EMIR xx
