end of the year.

Good morning peeps and Happy New Year’s Eve!

Can you believe it’s the LAST day of 2022? I’m kind of in denial about the whole thing to be honest with you. This past year was definitely the fastest year of my life and I don’t know how it’s already a new year. But I woke up at 5AM this morning to sit down in the peace and quiet and spend a little time reflecting on the past year. For me, 2022 was a year of some really amazing moments in terms of professional career and also some really personal moments. Grab your coffee and let’s chat about it all!

This past year I feel like I finally found my stability in personal life and career. I’ve been pretty open the fact living as a single bachelor guy during pandemic time really put me out there facing several financial challenges and also personal goals set earlier this year. As a result, I’m proud to say that I finally found a good balance with personal life and professional career. That’s kinda tricky when it comes to the job that is a 24/7 freelancer gig.

But this year I really tried to put boundaries up for myself in order to find that balance my life really needed. And I gotta say–it was totally freeing to give myself permission to say no more often. This year I spent more time with family and friends, repeat my 10K, read lots of books, and focused more on what matters most to me in life. I’m definitely going to keep that trend going in 2023!

This year I gave myself the freedom to share less frequent of what I love here on the blog, and more personal time which I gotta say has been so much fun. I’ve been blogging now for two years and in a lot of ways this blog has evolved with me over that time. I went from only sharing financial planning and fitness to now sharing a little bit of everything–from home decor to exciting hobbies. I feel like I did a pretty good mix of it all in 2022. And I think it’s safe to say this was my favourite year of blogging. I loved mixing it up and trying new things. This year I decided to just have fun with it and I’m sooooo grateful to all of you for sticking with me!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Signing off for 2022,

Emir S.
